At 0210 GMT (10:10 p.m. EDT Sunday), the stock was up NT$5.00 (US$1=NT$30.827), or 5.9%, at NT$89.5 on volume of 69.7 million shares. The main index was up 1.25%. The stock continues to attract strong buying as its earnings per share for 2000 will likely top NT$5 from NT$1.43 in 1999, said analysts.
