You should differentiate between the chips and the chip equipment industry, and yes, the chip industry is still growing faster than the auto industry, but I am not sure that on the average (over long periods of times) the chip equipment does. The chip equipment is interesting to me because at bottoms, they can be had at anywhere from 1/3 to 1/6 of their subsequent peak, like clock work. These stocks are not to be bought and forgotten, IMHO, they are to be bought near through and sold near peaks. We are now closer to the cycle peak that to its through, IMHO, and the next rally should be used to take profits.
