Harry,

Im not saying they are going to sell the 1.5 immediately, but they might easily announce its sampling and introduction at a future date.

Sanders has publicly stated that AMD will have a 1.5 Ghz processor in Q1, 2001 (January?). I would have to believe that this will be a 0.13u Mustang. I really don't think we will see 1.5 Ghz anytime sooner. I hope I'm wrong.

I think AMD is flying journalists out to Dresden to showcase their new fab when it starts shipping product -- to show the world that they have a state-of-the-art copper fab (and Intel doesn't).

We have seen leaked pricing data for the new Duran and Thunderbird processors. The top speed that the OEMs are preparing for is apparently 1 GHz. My guess is that we will see a 750 Mhz Duron and a 1.1 Ghz Tbird in July, and an 800 Mhz Duron and 1.2 GHz Tbird in August.

Now, even with tempered expectations, could you imagine the stock price if AMD demonstrated a 1.5 Ghz copper Tbird on June 5th!!!

Pravin.
