ex-Dilbert: This is an excellent thread to start. Historically the amat/intc's of the world have always been cyclical plays.

I'm not convinced that things may have changed due to the increased number of pda's, electronics, dsl's, internet devices, etc. Is it possible that the semis could be in a long-term run due to the increased product offerings in the economy today?

The book-to-bill ratio, (1.42), will ultimately tell us if there is a slowdown. I'm really curious to know if you feel that things may have changed.

Thanks again. advalorem
