Sure am glad to hear that I'm not the only one who flies kites... You know, I take a lot of heat for this kind of thing... especially when I'm seen out flying kites in the middle of a snowy field in winter... Word tends to "get out" about what I've been doing... and then I get scowled at... later...

However, I know I'm not alone in what I do... Why, just 3 or 4 years ago, a couple came here on a Saturday morning (granted, they were about 20 years younger than moi),... they wanted to know if it was OK to go back in my fields to see if they could find their big red kite... it was supposed to be about 5 feet across and 6 feet long... They were back there for over an hour, but they didn't find it.

Have had guys with radio-controlled planes come here to ask if they could look for missing planes back in the bush too...

So, you see... I don't really feel....uhm....totally "alone" in what I do... Maybe it's just the "winter part" that gets me in so much trouble...
