D,

I've mentioned an aspect of the market in regards to psychology to a couple people in private over the last several months (and the last few seasonal-type market moves) that, considering current spoos activity, may be short term pertinent here.
Assumption 1.) The bulk of money flow eminates from baby boomers.
Assumption 2.) Baby boomers' actions are quite attuned to the perceived governances of cause and effect as well as being (not much more so than any other generation perhaps) significantly influenced by mere correlation. In other words, baby boomers are creatures of habit and have a strong tendency toward following historical precedents found in general, seasonal market activity.....Santa Claus rally, January effect, March and October nastiness, etc
Assumption 3.) Baby boomers are aware of the seasonal market phenomenon known as "the Summer rally" which TRADITIONally begins shortly after Memorial Day.

something to keep in mind,
Doug R
