Chris:

It's difficult to pick stocks in a down market. We had many picks moved up for a few days, then people sold into strength to get out of the market, pushed the prices down again.

We certainly welcome discussion on stock picking scans. In SI, Richard Estes, Andy Garbor, Dave Evans and others generously shared their ideas to help others to learn TA. I am familiar with Richard's Buy Buy Buy scan. The Buy Buy Buy scan was written in 1996 or earlier. There were several versions of Buy Buy Buy. One version was written for stocks between $5 and $20,

(C > 1.05*C5) AND (V > AVGV63) AND (C > 0.85*MAXC250) AND (C > 5) AND (C < 20)

This is a good scan for a typical market.

TC2000 Version 4 provides more tools than the earlier versions.
