I just stumbled across this: bergen.com BTW, it's now obvious that Europe's 1st-league soccer teams have been turned into bigtime Laundromats by the Mafia. Most of them are moneylosers, bleeding millions of dollars a year.... Yet, there're always a couple of glitterati who'll scramble to "rescue" the team. And then you've got all those flabbergasting "transfers" involving soccer smash-hits like Ronaldo, Owen, Cantona, etc. Sometimes, it happens that a soccer player is purchased for over $10 million and never makes it to the field!! The coach just doesn't pick him to play but keeps him "in reserve".... Which corporation could allow itself to pay a total $10 million (headhunter fee + severance pay) for a new CFO, just to tell him to stay home??
