SETO Announces Two New Trademarks: SETOMobileWorld and SETOMultiMediaWorld
BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2000--SETO Holdings Inc. (OTCBB-SETO) today announced that it has received approval to register two trademarks: SETOMobileWorld and SETOMultiMediaWorld for new retail outlets to be started soon in select areas of Asia, with Europe and the United States following within a year.
SETOMobileWorld and SETOMultiMediaWorld will combine complementing products of cellular, telecommunication and consumer electronic lines into a one stop-shopping store. This concept, already proven in many countries, will be available as stand alone stores, mall stands or units in large consumer retail chains. SETO and its joint venture partners will manufacture these products with the SETO brand name or in combination with the retailer's private label.
SETOMobileWorld will focus on selling cellular phones and accessories such as rechargeable batteries, leather cases, battery chargers, antennas and hands-free kits. Other products will be for 900mhz and 2.4Ghz cordless phones and accessories, such as rechargeable batteries.
SETOMultiMediaWorld products will include Internet associated devices, such as multimedia speakers, MP3 players, ADSL modems, Internet phones, set top boxes for Internet access via a TV without a computer, Net PC terminal, CDRW (CD reader and writer), DVD with MP3 capability and SCSI interface cards. Additional service will include connections to local telecommunication company lines for line registration and services. Other products will include VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) registration and services to be exclusively routed through SETO gateway partnerships and IDD calling cards for Internet Telephony. Internet Telephony is the future of telecommunications because of large discounts over conventional lines and registration with ISP (Internet Services Provider) services with SETO's ISP joint venture partners.

A new Asian corporate headquarters is being registered as SETO Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang. Gene Pian will assume the role of Chairman, President and Tan Hun Chin has been named CEO. Garry Tan is the Group Financial Controller and Richard Tan is the Business Development Director. The Tan's are not related, however it is the most common name in Asia.
