Hi ToTD and thread,

I just sold my remaining QCOM shares and all LEAPs from my account, a very difficult thing to do, but I believe that the recent QCOM news will further deflate the stock over the intermediate term. On top of this, I did a lot of reading this weekend and believe we're in a (widely unrecognized) bear market. I was really surprised to see that the value of my 2002 DIM LEAPS on companies like SEBL, CSCO, QCOM, and BRCM had been cut in half since I purchased them this spring.

I suggest that others who hold LEAPs calls take a look at the value of these options, weigh it against your thoughts as to where the market will be headed over the next six months (keeping in mind the time decay factor in options) and remember to preserve your capital.
