I'm not trying to convince you of nothing. The only way that you will be convinced, is if you live in a communist country. You are so sure that this great country will never become communist, all the other communist countries thought the same way. I care if other people chose to be communist, you know why because they are not good, evil and if they have to kill they will do it. The communist only want whats good for them and to be in total control. But I have a good suggestion to enhance your education, why don't you go on your vacation to Cuba. But don't go and spend it in a nice hotel, just find a house were they rent a room. And live like the rest of the people in Cuba. Under a ration, no electricity at night. No clean or sanitazied water to drink or to take a shower with soap (if you find some). Eating rice and beans with worms. Getting sick and if you go to the doctor, he will tell you there is no medication and he will ask you to ask your family in the United State to ask them to send you the necessary medicine. The major problem that the Cubans have beside anything else is no freedom.
Also make sure that you visit the political prison, were people are being beaten if they dare to protest. Right now is political prisoner that have a kidney failure, urine with blood and there is no treatment for him. He is under 100 pounds, but he is a proud man who prefers to die for his beliefs.
My counsin has a little girl, who unfortunately at the age of 5 could not urine.She had to under go a painful operation without anastesia. And you know why? Because there is no anastesia or pain killers, that can be given to her. After all this they sent her home because the doctors said there were to many infections in the hospital. As I read the letter when her mother wrote to me about what had happened I began to cry. The only thing that took away some of the little girl pain was the Children's Tylenol I had sent to her.
I assure you that when you come back, your mind will be changed.
You don't have some misconception on both parties, you have a lot. And your right it is your problem. You can be a democrat, but that does not prevent you to make the right decision to vote for the best candidate, when it becomes an issue of which one will be the best.
You are saying that your teacher is liberal, maybe he is influencing you. Now I'm asking, what are you doing to put a change on the way everything is? Believing that everything is so damaged by the Republicans is OK, then do something.
To answer your last statement you are the one who should look at facts, don't believe what other people tell you (like your teacher).
