Want to guess what effect a major lawsuit involving Nokia, NTT-DoCoMo, Korean companies, etc. would have on Qualcomm's share price?

Carranza... we are all tiresome on this thread. It's our common denominator. And a source of pride. This "W-CDMA is not compatible with GSM" angle was a desperate FUD gambit we saw first around 1998.

However - W-CDMA was specifically designed by Nokia and Ericsson to become a GSM upgrade technology. That is the pedigree of W-CDMA. That is its reason to exist.

Ask yourself this: what did this person you trust tell you about GPRS, Globalstar, CDMA in China, "CDMA overlay" on GSM and other issues? What's his wider track record?
