Demand for Lithium-ion polymer batteries....

A study released by Kline & Company Inc., a NJ based management consulting firm, predicts that the demand for lithium-ion polymer battery technology for portable electronic devices will reach at least $1 billion a year by 2007. The major end-use applications for this technology will be in cellular communications and mobile computers. Cellular is expected to account for 50% of future demand and mobile computers will account for 1/3 of total Lithium-ion polymer use in portable electronics.
