Fonix Signs Marketing - Distribution Agreement With Nuance; Fonix Text-To-Speech to be Integrated with Nuance 7.0

SALT LAKE CITY, May 30, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ --  Fonix Corporation (OTC
Bulletin Board: FONX) today announced that it has signed a marketing and
distribution agreement with Nuance(R) (Nasdaq: NUAN), the leader in voice
interface software. As part of this agreement, Nuance will distribute Fonix's
Text-To-Speech (TTS) products with each Nuance 7.0 Developer Toolkit and
V-Builder(TM), Nuance's integrated tool for creation of Voice Web sites.
