That's true Greg, but unfortunately I see what appears to be a trend....it's very difficult to "discount" a trend as long as it appears intact. Now obviously the FED won't raise rates into the election, but if the econ numbers are strong, I am not discounting an addition .5 basis point move (either in one hike in June or 2 .25 hikes in June & Aug).

I do believe in the discounting mechanism, and we may be near the bottom, but just to play devil's advocate, what happens if the June economic numbers come in stronger than expected? If we move up on that bad news, then I would agree the bottom is in. Or we could have another selloff marking a new low.

Contrary to what is being publicized, I believe the traders are holding up the market right now, that's why we're not able to get any "traction". Still a bunch of sideline money waiting for good econ numbers to give the all clear.

BTW, my son got a new bike over the weekend, guess all that sideline cash was eating a hole in his pocket<gg>
