True JDN. Carbohydrates turn into sugar, so my type II hubby is doing much better with me. I have a lung condition so the walking for distances just isn't possible (although I never lose hope). However, i do manage to consistently get some in 5 of 7 days. I keep it consistent for now. That is important.

I have a fear of becoming diabetic. While the weight loss is important, I'm not trying to focus on the scale, but rather on that increased energy and feeling better. If I eat too many carhs, I feel it greatly. Its like being drugged.
