Well, first, I meant it as an ironic echo of the propensity to attribute anything out of the ordinary that happens in a given time period to an administration, especially if it suits an ideological purpose. Second, there does seem to be a rash of such incidents in this decade, and it would be interesting to speculate about the common thread. If pressed, I would say that Clinton is more symptom than cause. Third, I have no idea if they will suddenly cease in the next decade, but I do think that electing Bush will improve the moral atmosphere of the country..........
