This is truly incredible. The top two detectives assigned to investigate the Jovin murder have been put on administrative leave because of an ever-widening scandal that evidence was withheld in another murder case! Detective Captain Brian Sullivan was the head honcho, and Sergeant Edward Kendall was the supervisor for the two detectives who interrogated Professor Van de Velde (and reported to Sullivan).

What evidence and/or information do the New Haven Police have about the Jovin murder they have simply shelved because it doesn't conform to their original shot-in-the-dark theory that Professor Van de Velde is their man? Heck, I called the Jovin hotline and no one ever called me back! Do they even monitor it?

Nothing yet has been written about the Jovin murder in relation to this scandal. Stay tuned.
