Mr G,

Which do you think was the most surreal moment of my long Memorial Day weekend:

a) Eating a slice of pizza at 2am on a busy Chicago street and witnessing from less than 3 feet a midget with a cowboy hat trying to seduce a drunken bar patron that was laying on the sidewalk. For the first few minutes I thought it was two midgets groping, then I saw her try to stand up and she couldnt. The tragedy was the midget couldnt help her stand either as he was too short.

b) Attending a Pakistani family party(uninvited) where I was the only non Indian person. Activities included eating food where there was no English translation and a group prayer to Allah, facing Mecca of course.

c) Shopping in downtown Chicago department stores only speaking Greek with my mother-in-law, watching the sales clerks avoid any type of possible communication with non-English speaking patrons

d) sitting in a restaurant watching a certifiably insane elderly couple warn the parents of a newborn that they would need tranquilizers later on. I think I heard the woman say 'tranquilizer' no less than 10 times. The young couple was very patient and did not accept the couples invitation to see their nearby luxury apartment.
