You forgot to point out the budding movement to boycott, err, all Chinese restaurants across the land by Qualcomm fanatics upset that China Unicom is now focusing on its GSM networks (7m subs) at the expense of its CDMAOne networks (200k subs). "Sob. I'll never eat at another Chinese restaurant again" was the plaintive cry of one distraught QCOM investor over at the Yahoo BB as the news came out.

There is no doubt that they would have gotten around to boycotting innocent Korean restaurants on account of the news that the Koreans seem determined to demonstrate to Qualcomm that, in perfect free market fashion, it needs them more than they need Qualcomm's CDMA2000 so those royalties need to go down from over 5% to under 3% in addition to other, ahem, perks befitting its status as CDMAOne's single largest market. And yes, they want to use their own ASICs now, thank you.

Fortunately for all Chinese and Korean restaurants across the land, the QCOM cheerleaders in the US analyst community came out in full force to ride the dead cat's bounce for all its worth so after 8 straight sessions of high-volume decline and a 15% one-day spike, all is well in QCOM la la land..........for now.

It's the summer after one of the hottest winters in history in an Olympic year, guys, soooooo.............don't forget to duck.
