You are going to read about reports of this nature on user message boards long before you read about it in a photo magazine or before IBM puts a 1 year warranty on the product (or will it be 6 months?).

Spending $379.00 on a 340MB microdrive seems like a waste of money unless you are planning to do a couple hundred photos in one shoot. For an average consumer this price does not justify the purchase. Let's face it, it practically doubles the price of a moderate resolution digital camera. Even a 2.1 megapixel camera with low to intermediate image compression creates files in the 500KB range. That makes a 64MB CompactFlash a wonderful deal.
