Telemedicine, the vision->Videolan Technologies Receives $10 Million Multi-Year Equipment Order
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LOUISVILLE, KY. (July 23) BUSINESS WIRE -July 23, 1997--VideoLan Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: VLNT) today announced that it has received a blanket purchase order in excess of $10 million from Technovision Communications Inc. This purchase order was received as a result of the recent acquisition of ImageLink Inc. and it is for their Media Master video conferencing board set. Deliveries are anticipated to be spread over a three year period, with initial shipments of approximately 640 units scheduled for delivery in calendar year 1997.
VideoLan Technologies Inc. and Technovision Communications Inc. have combined forces to provide a high bandwidth solution over 10,000 locations worldwide. "By partnering with VideoLan and ImageLink, we were able to provide the solution the customer wanted," David Fann, co-founder and president of Technovision stated.
