On thinking about it, I'd like to see them pick up Siebel and Ariba

Paul Melchiorre recently left as head of North American sales of SAP to join Ariba. He is re-quoted in previously mentioned eCompany piece as having said "Of the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on SAP installations, in a lot of cases there was little or no value being derived by the clients."

The article then sarcastically adds: "Oh. Now he tells us." >:-)

I kinda think that slap at SAP does not bode well for a future SAP/Ariba merger.

As for Siebel I think it is they who will be doing the acquiring not the other way around.

Cheers

PS- OT Edwarda, nice to see you on another thread - you were risking carpal tunnel on the Laughter thread for awhile there! :-)
