Been there, done that. When a product is making the transition to a commodity, you dump it as fast as you can (before the competition), then get out quickly !

Back then, we made our stuff in Puerto Rico, but all of the new stuff was contract. No one in their right mind takes the risk of building and managing their own production anymore, except for gold miners ;)
