Dr. Nakamura has accepted a professorship at UC Santa Barbara, actually. I presume that his company, Nichia Chemical, retains its patent portfolio, and that he was not the only member of the research team.

All of the above. What is the projected size of the market for high bandgap semiconductor substrates? How much of that market would Cree have to capture in order to meet their growth projections? SiC is an important material, but I would not expect a company in that market to have the same growth opportunities as, say, one selling SiGe or silicon-on-insulator wafers.
