I think a better description is if you have reached "critical mass" and you can do what ever you want to do...everyday. I obtained critcal mass about five years ago (age 37) and have been doing everything I always wanted to do but I do not feel I am retired (perhaps my friends do). I am busier than ever, buying and selling real estate (i.e. foreclosures), researching new companies to invest in here in Silicon Valley, and most recently building a new addition on my home. FWIW, I buy Kaiser's health plan which just went up to $143.00/month.
