Shareholders Approve Increase In Authorized Capital

New York, New York, May. 31, 2000 (Market News Publishing via COMTEX) -- First
American Scientific Corp. is pleased to announce that it has received 51,905,434
YES votes, which is sufficient under SEC rules to ratify the Board's March 7,
2000 resolution to increase its authorized capital.

C.L. Kantonen, Chairman, wishes to thank the shareholders for their overwhelming
support and for their patience. 95.9% of the 54 million votes received were YES.
This now puts the Company in a strong position to move forward with both the
Cloverdale research and demonstration center which is expected to be operational
by June 30, 2000 and the joint venture agreement in Czech Republic.

In order to proceed, the following appointments have been made:

1. Dale Ginther, Director and Operations Manager (Cloverdale)

2. Brian Nichols, Director and Business Development Manager

3. H. James Holland, BA(Hons), Business Development Manager

4. Tyler Ginther, Site Manager (Cloverdale)

5. Henry Skritek, Vice President (Czech Republic)

6. Dougie Higginson, P.Eng, Staff Engineer (Ireland)

7. Douglas B. Brown, P.Eng, Technical Advisor

8. Dr. R.B. Clarke, BSc(Hons), DPhil, CEng, MIMechE, FIED, Technical Advisor (Ireland)

We received the Phase II Technical Report from Ireland on May 29, 2000. It is
now under review by our advisory committee and further updates will be
forthcoming.
