EATONTOWN, N.J., May 31, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

Company Plans to Open Additional Offices in Spain, Germany,
Italy, Japan and Malaysia to meet demand

Xpedite, a global leader in information distribution and a business unit of PTEK
Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK)(www.ptek.com), today announced that it plans to
substantially expand its international presence in Europe and Asia to meet
demand. Xpedite's revenues in Europe were $56.4 million for 1999, and this
expansion is supporting an expected 13% growth for Europe in 2000. Xpedite's
European division will open a sales office in Madrid, Spain in June, which will
be managed by Stephane Baiocco, the current Director of Sales for Xpedite's
Paris office. Xpedite also has started a local sales office in Berlin and plans
to open an office in Italy in the third quarter. These offices will join
Xpedite's strong European group already operational in London, York, Paris,
Basel, Zurich, Munich, Frankfurt and Brussels.

In addition to Xpedite's European expansion, the company opened an office in
February in Fukuoka, a city in southern Japan, and plans to open an office this
summer in Sendai in northern Japan. The company also has plans to expand later
this year in Malaysia, broadening the Xpedite base from Kuala Lumpur. Xpedite
already has long-established Japanese offices in Tokyo and Osaka. In 1999,
Xpedite's revenues in Asia were $64.6 million, and this expansion is supporting
an expected 15% growth for Asia in 2000.

"We see a sizable market in Spain and throughout Europe for Xpedite's electronic
enhanced messaging services. Our success in Europe has been in the
business-to-business arena, particularly in the finance, publishing, high tech
and IR/PR sectors, and we feel confident that we can capitalize on similar
market opportunities in the European countries to which we are expanding," said
John Stone, Director of European Operations for Xpedite. "We already have a
solid reputation for reliably delivering enhanced messages for European
businesses, and our further expansion is the next step in maintaining our
leadership position as a truly global company."

Xpedite will offer customers in its new international markets broadcasting to
electronic addresses and transaction-related message delivery, with access to
Xpedite's services from the Internet, personal computer, mini- or mainframe
computer, or fax machine. Customers will be able to send documents to virtually
anywhere in the world through Xpedite's own global IP network.
