The allocation units for transport become lambdas, and the transport streams are classified by lambda. Bandwidth becomes subordinate to lambda. Wasted bandwidth within a lambda class has no effect on other lambda classess because they are disjoint classes. A class could be represented by a logical, demand-assigned group of lambdas, or even a hierarchy of groups of lambdas.
