I agree with your analysis 100%.

I would like AMD to at least demo a 1.5 Ghz part, if for no other reason, to put investors at rest that AMD is not dead when Willamette is released. It seems there is big fear in the "market" that AMD will run out of gas when Willamette comes out. Even a demo should be very good for the stock just to show AMD will be able to stay competitive for some time. Wouldn't you agree?

Intel has demonstrated a 1.5 Ghz. Even if AMD is not binning plentiful 1.5 Ghz parts, I'm sure they've got at least one "freak" processor that is capable of running at 1.5 Ghz under "controlled" circumstances, a la Intel style.
