I can't agree. Ideas accost each other for supremacy. And we as the servants of those ideas accost each other with our ideas. Even I, not believing in anything strongly, know that when you see two competing ideas one will usually seem more logical than the other and thus "win". Or an idea will appeal to the belief centers and latch onto it's human host that way. If the ideas aren't competing this is not a problem- but two competing and mutually exclusive ideas are de facto in conflict. Memes compete like animals (imo)- it's a Darwinian type field of existence for ideas out there.
