Hi, Poet, yes this is a confusing market. I bought some calls on jdsu and qcom the other day expecting a few days' rally, but closed them yesterday because I didn't think the piddling volume supported a continued rally. Today the markets are up again, so I should have held them. However, the way they are gapping the markets up overnight, it is hard to make money unless one takes the risk of holding long term, and I am not willing to do that in this market. When the long term uptrend reasserts itself, I will jump back in, and am willing to forego the first 10-20-30% appreciation if that is what it takes. Let's see what the markets do ahead of the next FOMC meeting.

About taking out your frustrations at the gym, great idea. I take my frustrations out on the race course, but there are better places, I'm sure. Provence sounds wonderful...
