i agree that qcom will do well years to come, that's why i sold naked puts yesterday on the stock. the stock has been battered the past 8 sessions on heavy volume. as i posted, this is a very different environment from buffett's era.

the idea is to look for new leaders. ltb&h is not forever. just look at dow 30. how many times have the composition be changed? new blood will emerge, and even msft will one day be booted out.

if you look at some threads of G & K, such as dell, msft, you will find the preaching of ltb&h is emphasized over and over again. by who? by those who bought early. the newbies getting in on the top, yet reading from those "experts" hammering ltb&h, those novices get hurt because they did not get out when the distribution took place. of course those who got in early want to keep the stock, and by advising b&h, they don't want to get a run on the stock.

just how many got in when msft was at 120 and dell at 60? did they cut their losses by getting out when they dropped around 10%. yet if you look at their respective threads, there are many posters who suggested to hold hold hold.

the world constantly evolves, and many companies abandon mainframes, once considered as can't miss technology.
