Hi KW,

You wrote: Did you ever reach the conclusion that Silkroad was a scam company.

Though you have not addressed this to me personally, I take offense at the accusation that Silkroad was promoted by Frank C. I have read just about every post on the SR thread and find that fairness and honesty is what was in the main what was presented there, especially by Frank.

As an aside, I was requested by a third party to advise a holder of Silkroad Class D Preferreds last November as to whether I would advise the investor to re-up his commitment to the company. Largely based on the useful, intelligent and honest discussion going on here at the SI Silkroad thread, I was able to advise this investor that a further investment in SR was probably not in his best interest. He went ahead and re-invested anyway. The SR salesman topped my story. Now my correspondent is out $400K. But there is simply no way in the world, had you read and understood the SI SR thread that you could make the accusatory statements that you did in message #1709.

KW, I'd strongly encourage you to get your facts straight and your history right before besmirching anyone's reputation. Especially that of one of the best contributors to SI.

Sincerely, Raymond G. Duray
