No idea. I suspect that most companies do not adopt it since it reduces earnings. Hence, the required footnote disclosure in the pronouncement. This was a very controversial accounting pronouncement [SFAS 123], especially among the dot-coms.

My real point is that there are enough options for the foreseeable future at Vari-L and the need to appropriate more is not prudent in my view.
