Read the S-4 - lengthy document but it discloses a little bit more on Net2W. If there's anything to Sensar then it'll be through net2W. I've scanned through the net2w site and the tech, if it performs as described, is revolutionary and would justify a huge market cap.

Note I said "if". The tech description at net2w.com is replete with buzzwords and strikes all the right wireless hot-buttons.

I realize the technology is purportedly in beta and that confidentiality might not permit more discussion of what they have but for now, something smells fishy about them.

"3G applications on 2G infrastructure." That's a hugely bold claim. Substantiate it. White papers. Encryption techniques, bandwidth optimization - they don't have to describe or divulge much to pique my long or short tendencies but at least they should provide more substance than what they have.

Let's take an excerpt from the technology description. My comments in CAPS

"The system is Telco Grade NEBS/ETSI compliant connecting to the Mobile Switch Controller (MSC) via a T1/E1 connection, with a high speed backbone, and an IP Gateway to the Internet - with a full data security. The system is scalable, modular and fully redundant.

WHAT IS THE MSC? HOW DOES IT WORK? ARE WE TALKING CIRCUIT TO PACKET SWITCHING?

The management system supports provisioning, security, and pre-billing, allowing the cellular operator to perform marketing analyses over the system operational database.

HOW? WILL THIS ACCOMODATE A SWITCH TO CALLING PARTY PAYS IF THEY'RE TARGETING THE US MARKETS? PROPRIETARY SECURITY OR A THIRD PARTY OEM LICENSE LIKE FROM CERTICOM?

This unique data compression technology with dynamic bandwidth will allow the cellular operator to provide the following services over Net2Wireless Wireless Application Servers (WAS):

Wireless Proxy - Powerful and smart wireless proxy, supporting full standard HTML, graphics, voice and video, providing complete web browsing with full duplex graphics. The subscriber can surf faster than via a connected line through the cellular network, on his PDA's, smartphones, notebook, etc. without having to make any changes on the existing Internet site. The wireless handheld devices use a standard browser.

STANDARD HTML? WHAT HAPPENED TO XML OR WAP OR THE NTT DOCOMO FLAVOUR? SURFING FASTER OVER WIRELESS THAN VIA CONNECTED LINE WITHOUT CHANGES TO AN EXISTING INTERNET SITE - BOLD STATEMENT - HOW?

STANDARD BROWSER FOR WIRELESS HANDHELDS? NOT POCKET PC; OR WINDOWS CE OR PALM OS?

Wireless E-Mail - Two-way real time e-mail compatible with e-mail protocols including attachment support. The subscriber will receive any e-mail on his wireless handheld device.

Wireless Unified Dynamic Storage and Messaging - Private and public dynamic storage, fully encrypted with push technology. This server allows allocation of various sizes of storage per subscriber for personal use.
It can store and manage video, audio, graphics, music, etc. and only the specific subscriber can access his private dynamic storage.

DYNAMIC STORAGE - AS IN HOSTED ON VIRTUAL ACCOUNTS?

Wireless Instant Messaging - The Instant Messaging WAS can support message sending and multi-user chat for Wireless to Wireless, Wireless to Internet and Internet to Wireless.
Instant Messaging WAS turns any handheld device into a wireless Instant Messaging Communicator with a buddy list.

SMS? MORE INFORMATION NECESSARY.

Wireless Data Streaming - Wireless data streaming of sports, stock, news, weather, etc.

COMPETES THEN WITH SVNX, AETH AND OTHER THIRD PARTY PLAYERS

Wireless Multimedia - Full multimedia content, allowing the subscriber to watch in real time and offline, streaming video and audio, on the wireless handheld/mobile devices.

COME ON - THIS IS STRAINING CREDULITY.

Wireless MP3 - Uses push technology for offline music download from the Internet.

OK - THAT DOES IT. THIS BLOWS. 2 TO 3 MINUTES DOWNLOAD FOR DSL. 20 TO 30 FOR 56K BPS MODEMS. MOST 2G NETWORKS SUPPORT UP BETWEEN 14.4 AND 28.8. VARIATIONS OF 3G ARE PROJECTED TO GO HIGHER BUT AGAIN, COME ON - SUBSTANTIATE THIS CLAIM FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN SNAILS PACE.

There you have it. I have nothing to critique because I don't have access to field trials data or to any other information other than on their website. If Net2W really works then I'm horribly wrong and I'll get burned and Paul Lee and other longs will get incredibly filthy rich off this company. Hey - all the more power to longs and shorts. I just wish I had more data.
