"this... is one of the weirder things I have heard. I want to know what they're smoking."

Just about every legal analyst that the press has quoted is surprised that more hearings about a breakup remedy didn't take place, and says it improves chances of a win on appeal Besides, they are called remedy "hearings." Why does it sound crazy to discuss evidence that such an unprecedented breakup remedy might be wrong/bad for the country? If I were a judge wanting to do a drastic breakup, I'd sure be willing to hear the evidence of MS, just to be careful.
