And now, from our FWIW Department: NEWS IN BRIEF Robert Annunziata has been named chairman of the board of PF.Net Communications, Inc., a New York company that is building a nationwide fiber optic network. Mr. Annunziata most recently was chief executive officer of Global Crossing Ltd., a post he left in March. He also was a co-founder of Teleport Communications Group, Inc., and became president-business services at AT&T Corp. after AT&T's acquisition of Teleport.
