Well you know the problem with diamonds? It's a rigged market - and they can be made by man. Isn't that what folks are saying about gold? And man has been trying to turn lead into gold for centuries. Just a number of protons/neutrons being orbited by masses of electrons. If they eventually are able to tear matter apart to the atomic level and rebuild it in the shape and density they desire, it will be equivalent to exactly what the Fed is doing with the Fiat money supply. Again, that's why this whole discussion about the "soundness" of gold backed currency is a fallacious one. It is all in the perceptions of individual human beings when it comes to what they consider to be an acceptable medium of exchange. Regards, Ron
