Shares that I hold short are not borrowed from any specific account. One investor's decision to sell will not directly affect a specific shortseller. Unless the shares are taken out of the lending pool by the transaction, it will have no effect whatever. Mary, if you cleared up the misconceptions you hold about shorting you might learn it's not anywhere near as risky an affair as you seem to think. Regards, Barb
