Interesting. A couple of comments:

1. Patent was filed in December of 1998.

2. The company has a long history of filing patents. They have yet to make money on one, and have burned a lot in the attempt. There's a big difference between coming up with a patentable idea (which even I can do) and turning it into the basis of a profitable enterprise. I hope this turns out to be their big hit, but I'm not going to bet any money on it myself.
