Any idea how much CREE makes from each PS2? Not really sure. There are lots of apps for blue LED though. Nokia phones, auto instrument panel illumination, out door displays (like the Naz display in NYC). The list goes on and on. Cree builds their Blue LEDs on SiC not Si like the rest of the industry. By using SiC they do not need to apply a sapphire sublayer which is required when using Si. The end result is they can make blue LEDs lots cheaper than the comp. The real story for Cree though is in the area of power management. Their devices (currently under development) will play a major role in the power management revolution of which Geo. Gilder speaks. I am totally amazed at the opportunity for CREE. Look at who their largest shareholder is.

BTW JDN, Don't worry about me. I can handle the margin and am capable of making my own buy decisions. I guess I shouldn't have used the "M" word.
