So let me get this straight (re: CNET article on Willamette):

1) Willamette will have lower profit margins because the die size is rumored to be at 170 mm2. (Never mind that AMD's savior, the Athlon, debuted at 180 mm2, and it didn't even have an on-die cache.)

2) "No one in the volume PC space today needs a 1-GHz processor," [Keith] Diefendorff said. "It's just useless." (Funny how absolutely no one was saying this when AMD bragged about being the first to 1 GHz.)

Is it just me, or does Intel continue to get unfair treatment from the press?
