Bull sells it's 30% stake in Ingenico
NEWS FLASH - Though successful, the marriage between the two electronic payment groups will have been short-lived.
Guy de Panafieu, Bull Chairman, had recently stated that he would be shedding some of his holdings due to a change of strategy at Bull.
In light of the substantial capital gain expected from the divestiture, Bull has now disclosed that its Ingenico stake will go to "a powerful industrial group" led by Marc Lassus, the man who founded GEMPLUS.
The deal is unanimously endorsed by Ingenico's management who consider that the new key shareholder will be just the one to open very substantial, new growth prospects to it in both the near and medium term, especially in the high-growth markets of Internet e-payments and Java technology.
