Reasonable response. Thanks. As far as the cooperative structures that allow others to influence Java's direction, it is my understanding that all changes in direction are subject to Sun's final acceptance. Accepted changes are also automatically licensed to and subsequently further controlled by Sun. It is true that Sun claimed to have had discussions with Microsoft around the time of the lawsuit. My statement was specific, supported by the judges ruling, and I stand by it. Mike
