Paragon Voice Systems Extends Leadership Position in the Emerging Speech Industry Through Multiple Initiatives
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 2000--Interactive Telesis Inc. (OTCBB:TSIS - news), a leader in specialized interactive voice response (IVR) services and deployment of speech recognition technologies, Thursday announced that Paragon Voice Systems Inc. (Paragon), a subsidiary of Interactive Telesis, has extended its leadership position in speech application development through multiple initiatives.
``Paragon is in active contract negotiations with several major organizations and dotcom companies, as well as universities and local government agencies,'' said Ken Ravazzolo, president and chief executive officer of Paragon Voice Systems. ``A majority of the application development has been completed on several initiatives including a speech-enabled automated-attendant, e-commerce solution, bank-by-phone system and an automated filing system for universities.''
To accommodate the increasing demand for speech-enabled application development, Paragon has recently hired five additional developers and one project manager and will continue the recruitment of developers in the immediate future. Additionally, the company has retained a full service advertising, public relations and graphic design firm that specializes in marketing high-technology products and services. The new corporate branding campaign will communicate the company's capabilities to deliver complex, leading-edge speech applications as well as leverage existing and future initiatives for the company.
According to Donald E. Cameron, president and CEO of Interactive Telesis, ``Paragon's industry-specific initiatives represent a strategic opportunity to exploit several vertical markets which will be some of the early adopters of this new technology.
``Furthermore, the new branding campaign will leverage the speech application expertise of Paragon and better position Paragon in the speech recognition marketplace.''
