Just a note: A good JAVA play would be Patriot Scientific. Red Chip <gasp> did a review on them a while back and they had good action in the small cap "rally" of '96. Their chip, the PSC1000 ( formerly the ShBoom ) was developed for other applications in mind, but to the co's surprise they have found that it is ideally suited for JAVA processing. This chip is available NOW, as opposed to Sun's Pico Java. And word in the thread is that it blows away ANYTHING available on the market for JAVA processing. In addition, there are several other products made by company ( ISDN modems, radar for Navy....which in MHO will be quickly sold off for a nice gain once this co. gets snapped up for their chip.) Look into PTSC thread... Note 2: This is NOT the next MSFT, just a JAVA play--(mircocap at that)
