Excellent post - I've been thinking along these lines and couldn't have articulated it any better. I realize the end of rising interest rates will be a good thing by itself, although I'd be surprised if upcoming economic data didn't support another quarter or half percent increase. Regardless, I agree that the resultant slowing of the economy doesn't appear to be fully priced into the market. I think it's likely we will see lower lows this summer before this correction is finished. Still, it was sure nice to have the upside we did this past week - gives some relief to people extended on margin! Regards to Ike and all others on the thread!
