No one in his/her right mind will buy a company on a downward slide - Nokia.

Do you mean they would prefer a stock like QCOM, whose main accomplishment this year has been to give back the majority of last year's gains?

NOK within a hair's breadth of its all-time high.

Some people prefer to buy "winners" and sell "losers".
