I hope you are wrong. Nevertheless, solving the 4 RIMM problem and enhancing performance would be significant.
The 815E appears to be limited at 512MB memory. This should extend 820E to 2 GB main memory. That helps segmentation.

A dual channel 820E would silence a lot of critics. Since it is uniprocessor it should not have much impact on the 840 which is dual processor. I think it makes sense for it to be a dual channel RDRAM system.

Later in the year the Willy and Foster based platforms will extend the product segmentation with their higher clock speed and much faster FSB's.

I think a dual channel 820E would help the overall product segmentation both now and later in the year.
